Rejection is Redirection
Rejection is Redirection
I thought I had a plan of who I wanted to be since I was an adolescent. I knew when I grew up I would be one of the following: Teacher, law enforcement, daycare owner, artist and/or hair stylist. I was ready to do either of those jobs for the rest of my life, so I thought. As life went on none of the above career choices were where I eventually landed.
With the pressures of life and decision making I ended up in the Banking/Financial industry, which was never anywhere on my list of career goals. Being in the Banking/Financial industry for 20 years was where I made great money but felt stuck thinking is this it? I was always a very creative person and being in those jobs drained the creativity out of me.
While being in what felt like an eternity of stunted creativity, I gained knowledge and experience that I didn’t know I needed. The skills that I obtained helped me to be one of the proud owners of a bakery. Being one of the owners of a bakery was not even on my career list but has been the best choice I could have ever made.
I know it can be disheartening, confusing, and discouraging to feel like everything you wanted to accomplish is not going exactly the way you envisioned. Never think what you are doing is not a part of a bigger plan for you. Small beginnings lead to greater results. Never let rejection make you miss the redirection. All things will work out for you in the end!
All things work out for the good of those who love the Lord!
